I started DJ'ing in the mid 1980's. My first mixtapes aired on Hope College radio station WTHS in the mid 80's. I honed my DJ skills mixing house parties and working as a resident DJ for Calypso's Night Club in Holland and Kokomo's and The Silhouette club in Muskegon.
While doing club work in Muskegon, I met Sammie Jordan, Station Manager for WMHG Magic 108. In the early 90's I joined their on air-staff and was a mixshow DJ as well. I mixed the stations popular Mix at Six and Saturday Night Throwdowns.
In the mid 90's I put away the gear and focused on my day job and family. In 2008, I decided to start this podcast. It has grown quickly with listeners world wide. My sets have aired in South Africa, Spain and in the US.
In late 2008, I had the opportunity to meet Brian "Freakshow" Holmes from 104.5 WSNX. Holmes gave me a chance to do the year end midnight mega mix on NYE for 104.5. I have done those mixes as well as the stations wildly popular holiday mix show take over weekends for the last couple of years. I have also been a resident DJ for the WSNX Morning After Old School Mini Mix.
In 2015 I followed my boy Holmes to 93.1 Jamz in Madison, WI and joined their team of mixologist.
In 2015, I turned 44 and am proud of the fact that an old guy like me can still rock the decks. I thank you for listening and all of the support. Be on the look out for some great stuff to come in the podcast.
